ELVENKING Forced To Cancel Shows
December 12, 2008Italian folk metallers ELVENKING have been forced to cancel five shows in their home country in January/February "because of serious family and health problems," according to a posting on the band's web site. The group says, "We are very sorry to cancel the dates scheduled so far, but we need a little more time to solve these personal problems. We thank you immensely once again for your understanding. From March 2009 ELVENKING will be back on track. The shows in Lubeck (Germany) and Kerkrade (Netherlands),cancelled in November, have been postponed to spring 2009 (soon to be announced). We have already other new gigs confirmed and festivals appearances in negotiations. We will announce a lot of interesting news very soon."

ELVENKING released its new acoustic album, "Two Tragedy Poets (...And A Caravan Of Weird Figures)", in Europe on November 14 via AFM Records. The CD was issued in digipack and jewel case formats.
ELVENKING's latest album, "The Scythe", was released in Europe in September 2007 via AFM Records.
The band has released the video for its song "The Divided Heart". The clip was shot with director Mirco Andreis (ELDRITCH, MACBETH, DISARMONIA MUNDI) and can be viewed below.
"The Scythe" was mixed at Sonic Pump Studios in Helsinki, Finland. The mastering took place on April 10 at Finnvox Studios with Mika Jussila and Nino Laurenne.
